CHC/CIE Fellowship Opportunity |

Fellowship Description
The CHC/CIE Fellowship is designed by Center for International
Education of Vietnam National University-Ho Chi Minh City (CIE) and
Conrad N. Hilton College of University of Houston (CHC) in order to
provide the faculty with the opportunity to study at CHC for one year.
The Fellowship will grant a two-semester award to two (02)
fellows who commit to return and teach for the undergraduate program of
Hospitality & Hotel Management at CIE upon their successful
completion of 18 graduate credit hours at CHC.
The Fellowship recipients may choose to start their courses in either Spring Semester 2010 or Fall Semester 2010.
Fellowship Eligibility
- Lecturer who is working for Vietnam National University-Ho Chi Minh City
- A Master's degree
- A minimum score of PBT TOEFL 600 (or iBT TOEFL 100). Exemption
can be granted for those who receive the Master's degree from a
US-accredited university (to be considered on a case-by-case basis by
CHC)
- A minimum score of GMAT 550
- Strong commitment to return and teach for CIE undergraduate program
Fellowship Benefits
- Tuition waiver for 18 graduate credit hours at CHC (approximate US$10,000)
- Gross monthly stipend of around US$980 sponsored by CHC (provided
that fellowship recipients accept to assist with teaching or research
at CHC for 20 hours per week)
- Good remuneration when returning to teach at CIE
Application Package
- Resume including work and educational experience (2 page maximum)
- Two professional letters of recommendation
- Certified copies of the degree diplomas and certificates
- Certified copies of transcript
- TOEFL score report
- GMAT score report
The documents are required to submit to CIE either by post (146 Bis

Deadline for submission:
- 02 August 2009 (for those who plan to start at CHC in Spring Semester 2010)
- 07 March 2010 (for those who plan to start at CHC in Fall Semester 2010).
Selection Process
- Maximum ten working days after the deadline submission,
applicants with complete application package will be invited to an
interview with CIE Board of Management.
- Successful applicants will be notified of their status shortly thereafter.
- The selection of the awards is competitive and based on the
following major factors: academic achievement, professional experience
and commitment to CIE.
